About Us

Who We Are

Our dedicated and high-energy “TMA team” is an inspired group of individuals made up of board members, employees, interns, and volunteers, all working together to deliver our mission.

Our Mission

To provide meaningful experiences by connecting people with great art, both in a historic setting and in the community.

Our Purpose

Our purpose is to passionately engage people every day with the arts as envisioned generations ago by our founders, Anna Sinton Taft and Charles Phelps Taft. We are committed to community engagement through partnerships based on the needs of the community. We proactively reach, inside and outside the physical constraints of our Museum, those who may otherwise not be able to experience art, and engage audiences in a way that is meaningful to them.

Our Core Values

The success of the Taft Museum of Art is driven by our core values, as exemplified by our team members. We actively work to empower a culture that retains talent and provides opportunities to team members who embrace our core values.

The Taft Museum of Art is an Equal Opportunity Employer and complies with the Civil Rights Act of 1964, the Age Discrimination in Employment Act of 1976, the Americans with Disabilities Act of 1990, and other applicable employment laws. The TMA does not discriminate against employees or applicants for employment on the basis of an individual’s race, color, gender, religion, creed, sexual orientation, national origin, ancestry, age, disability, marital status, veteran status, or any other status protected by applicable law. This policy applies to all terms, conditions, and privileges of employment, including recruitment, hiring, training, placement, compensation, promotion, discipline, and termination.
